An opportunity is available at our new state-of-the-art headquarters in Alexandria , VA for a Senior Level Attorney Advisor (Copyright).

In this position, you will serve as a senior technical and legal expert in the field of domestic legislative and international intellectual property rights protection and enforcement in regard to copyright matters.  You will assist the Under Secretary and Director, Deputy Under Secretary and Deputy Director, and the Director of International Relations by rendering advisory legal and technical options relative to copyright matters on a wide range of complex domestic and international intellectual property issues; drafting legislative proposals which have a significant impact upon a variety of creative and entertainment industries, and representing the United States in delicate, highly sensitive international negotiations.  You will also direct and advise other attorneys on a wide range of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on entertainment industry-related copyright matters, public awareness and education campaigns.

You must possess an LLB or JD degree from an accredited law school program and membership in good standing of the Bar of any state, District of Columbia , Puerto Rico , or any territorial court under the Constitution.  Additionally, you must have significant work experience and a comprehensive knowledge of complex legal issues related to intellectual property rights and copyright protection and enforcement.  Salary range:  $132,437 - $154,600.
